Because you are overdue with the State Accessibility Inspection please do not wait to respond! If you have received a letter from the TDLR Enforcement Division, we can still assist you with the TAS inspection requirements – we cannot however negotiate fines assessed with your project.
On the TDLR Notice of Inspection Overdue letter, check the option of “A RAS will inspect…” and complete with RAS – John Villarreal and RAS # 408. Mail/Email the form to TDLR indicating the RAS will be requesting the file for inspection.
There are 3 types of letters you could receive from TDLR:
1st LETTER – TDLR NOTICE OF INSPECTION DUE
Notice of inspection due – contact our office to schedule the final inspection of your project. Forms are required.
2nd LETTER – TDLR NOTICE OF INSPECTION OVERDUE
Notice of inspection overdue – The example photo illustrates how you can designate your RAS to complete the inspection and return this letter to TDLR.
Overdue notices also notify owners that the state can fine penalize you for non compliance.
the LAST Letter – TDLR LEGAL DEPARTMENT NOTICES
If you have received a notice from TDLR’s LEGAL DEPARTMENT your TDLR Number has made it to the department that issues FINES for non compliance. DO NOT WAIT to reply to TDLR and also contact Kathy at ACCESSplanreview for assistance. Our fees are more than our standard rate but we also have experience in this area.
Contact our office as soon as possible if you receive a Notice of Inspection Overdue or Notice of Plan Review Overdue or LEGAL Notice.

TAS Inspection Services by TDLR-Licensed RAS
ACCESSplanreview’s two Registered Accessibility Specialists (RAS), John A. Villarreal (RAS #408) and Kathy Villarreal (RAS #1209), licensed by TDLR, have traveled all over Texas since 2004 and we still are driving inspection routes! The Texas map photo was our physical folded map we used prior to our Garmin GPS and phones. Each of the highlighted routes were early TAS Inspections.
Registered Accessibility Specialists will inspect items like the accessible parking, routes, entrances, restrooms, signage, and other features for compliance with the Texas Accessibility Standards. Once construction has been completed a TDLR TAS Accessibility Inspection is required.
